Shrinking & Drying
MDM-TECHNOLOGIES shrink devices guarantee a perfect packaging result with minimum heat transfer and optimized energy consumption. Built on multiple operating principles, they meet all market needs in terms of capacity and production flow.
Products sealed with shrink film. they go through thermal process in water to activate the shrink properties of the film.
This process can be performed in two ways:
by immersion (shrink tank) rain (shrink tunnel)
The treated bag adheres completely to the product, creating an invisible packaging like a second skin, which guarantees greater handling safety, preserves hygiene, wholesomeness and improves the aesthetic quality of the products. This treatment considerably increases the "shelf life" of the package. In addition, the product clearly stands out on store shelves due to the "transparent" property of the packaging.

Both immersion and spray devices can be combined with Dryers to complete the packaging process such as weighing, marking and/or canning for shipment.

Furthermore, our devices can be set up for pasteurization, for the sanitization of the packages containing the sliced bars to be cut in clean rooms.

BY IMMERSION
​
The packs are immersed in hot water for a controlled time, thus activating the bag shrinking process. This guarantees uniform shrinking of the package, without altering the organoleptic properties of the product, guaranteeing a perfect "all-round" shrinking result.
RAIN SYSTEM
The product placed on a belt passes through a curtain of hot water which activates the heat-shrinking properties of the bag and guarantees an extremely effective and refined heat-shrinking result. This process, also known as the "rain" system, is particularly suitable when large volumes of product are processed.
DRYING SYSTEM
(dryer)
In packaging lines, drying tunnels are placed after shrinking systems.
The product arrives on a belt and passes through the action of a series of devices which generate powerful jets of air. The products treated in this way can be immediately transferred to the subsequent stages such as labeling or canning.
iShrink 60
The iShrink 60 immersion heat-shrinking tank is ideal for meeting the needs of the small company, which is preparing to face the world of heat-shrinking without large investments.
It guarantees an impeccable quality of service. Easy to use, it does not require compressed air and is equipped with four wheels to be moved where needed.

The iShrink 900 device performs the shrinking treatment respecting the sensitivity of the products thanks to perfectly controlled exposure to heat.
The immersion heat-shrinking device can be inserted in combination with the vacuum belt machines and with the thermoforming machines, new or already installed. They are designed to be easy to use, highly productive, with convenient access for cleaning and maintenance, and have optimized energy consumption.
Available with 610, 835 and 995mm immersion belt, and with automatic sanitization system of the shrink tank ( optional)

The iShrink 1200 rain shrinking group is suitable for industrial productions, it is able to work large batches of packages, without interruptions, even if fed by several machines.

It combines perfectly with all models of vacuum packing machines and thermoformers, even those already present. In the packaging lines, the drying tunnels are positioned downstream of the heat-shrinking devices, and offer the automated solution for the complete removal of the water left over from the previous process on the packaging. The combined action of the drying devices ensures an accurate result to the shrink packs which can be transferred to the following stages of the packaging process.
